My Personal Story

My name is Cecilia , mother to 8 gifts of God, yet only 4 are with me now as we travel together on this journey call Life.  We are now living in the deep south of Mississippi for over a year now.

My husband and I were married on December 8th, 2001 in West Palm Beach, Florida and lived in Delaware  for 10 years.

Dec. 2002, we had our first girl and 8 months later we experiences our first miscarriage at 13 weeks.  We ended having an emergency D&C . It was as quick and as painless as I ever thought. Physically painless but full of emotional pain.

We named him, Pablo de al Cruz (after St. Paul of the Cross) for it was his saint day that we knew , we lost our dear little one.

August 2005, our first son was born and our heart grew larger.

January 2007, our next girl was born and followed by our third girl was born Oct. 2008.

January 2010, we lose our sixth child. Martha we name her.

My oldest at that time was only 8 years old and telling her the lost of this child was one of the hardest thing to do in life.

She says to me, ” Do not worry, mama, Jesus  needs more angels. ” ” By the way, she was a girl and her name is Martha.”

Children always heal one’s pain.

March 2012, on the Friday before the start of Holy Week, I walk down a cold and long hallway as I am head to delivery my sweet boy.

He might not of come home with me physically but he has always been with me in spirit!  We named him, Benedicto after our sweet Holy Father. Who had just visited my beloved country Cuba.

We have a burial . We lay him to rest.

We moved due to work down south to Mississippi that July.

June 2013 , almost a year after we moved, once again, Our Lord thinks that we are very strong people as we bury our son, Juan Diego. We name him Juan Diego for my due date was on the beautiful feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe this coming Dec.

I united all my suffering for God’s greater glory.
